I've seen this discussed elsewhere... do you think second and third place should be honored, or do you think they are just the first loser?
Personally, I like to see a list of all the competitors and their rankings, but I do really think first place should be the headliner.

| I am not one that really minds a top three for games, but anything more than that is just a little too much for my tastes I guess. I am used to seeing the tops from when I was young and watched the Olympics but I'm just not sure most people see it that way anymore.

| I do think that at least the top 2 are important. Especially when you consider that sometimes number one ends up disqualified for one reason or another, often drug usage. In a competition with 4 or 5 people, 2nd place doesn't say much, but if there are many people then 2nd place says a great deal!

Yes, didn't think of the Olympics giving the gold, silver, and bronze. And about the disqualifying, if that happens, then it is all over the news anyway, and the second place winner is reigned as the real champion.

I think that although achieving first place is the ultimate glory of many a sports person, I always like to know who came second and third, and they should always be listed. I don't care about fourth place or after, though.

| Let's keep this in perspective. If we are talking a school sports day then second or third may not mean a lot. But this is the Olympics-that means that these guys are the second or third best in the entire world! That's no small feat-and heck yes! It deserves recognition!

| That is a good point about those being disqualified but what happens if say 1 is disqualified and 2 really wasnt fully up to the stats that the fans want? Thats why Im staying with top three, that I know I can handle. 1 chance for disqualified, 1 for "close but no cigar" and then one winner.
