The track record of Germany against both Spain and Russia shows that they would have had far greater odds of winning if Russia hadn't gone out of the competition. As it stands, Germany still won more times than Spain, but a much smaller margin-eight games to Spain's five.
I am sure that right about now the German fans are mourning the loss of Russia from the competition.

Although the statistics are in favor for Germany to steam roll Russia, but I am expecting a good game. I am rooting for Germany, but I just have this feeling that its going to be Spain.
I am so optimistic it hurts.

| I personally would like to see Germany surprise us all and steam roll over Spain. The odds are against it but it would make for an interesting game.
