| Tim Montgomery has admitted that he won the 4x100m gold member at the Sydney Olympics after taking testosterone and HGH during training. Should the relay team's medals be revoked?

| Yes they should. Then they should let the rest of the team that played honestly without cheating the opportunity to give him a beating. It's unfair to the rest of the team but by his cheating it puts the integrity of the rest in question as well.

| Punishing the whole team by taking away their medals is the only way that this kind of thing can be prevented in future. By making players see that even if they are not caught now, they might be in ten years time, that's the only thing that will stop these abuses.

| I think it's the only option if the powers that be really want to show everyone that they are serious about cleaning up the sport. Sure it's toughon the clean members of the team go gave it their all, but they have to be part of the crusade.

When I read that topic there is only one thing that comes to mind.
Did he cheat, lie or steal to get it?
If the answer is yes than that answers if he should give it back or not to me.

| I think they should only take his medal away. Honest team members can train confident in the knowledge that they don't have to police a situation they have little control over- i.e. stopping a teammate from doping while dealing with their own lives...

| I agree that he should give back his medal but, as for the medals of the other team member's, they're medals should not be taken.

| Why should they keep them? Their won involved him, and if he hadn't been cheating his performance may not have been so good. In which case the team may not have won-they did so with an unfair advantage!
