| There are bad fans in many sports, and reading about and incident for another sport made me think of this. What can really be done about the trouble makers who travel to matches-how can we keep sports safe for everyone?

| People who are determined to cause trouble will cause trouble. I'm not sure there is a whole lote we can do about it. Perhaps create a blacklist the hinders there ability to get tickets to future games.

| I learned a long time ago that it is always best to keep my mouth shut. I might run my mouth to my bro or something about sports, but when you are dealing with a stranger anything can happen.

| I think they should use a bit of the ticket proceeds to hire "bouncers" like you'd see at a bar/pub. Toss the troublemakers right out on their ear when they act out. Might think twice at losing the cost of their ticket next time. Even maybe a fine for disorderly conduct or something similar. Isn't their some sort of law that prohibits one from acting the arse in public?

The trouble is that the hooligans are as bad on the street-worse if anything, causing fights and so on. Banning them from future matches is about all that would be sensible. Or a big dog cage outside of the stadium

| A lot of effort is being put into control these people, especially the known ones. Part of the problem is that some of these fans arrive at the games already half drunk or stoned and then it doesn't take much to set them off after that.

| Half of the issue historically has seemed to be that the fans meet or clash in the street before they ever get to the game. At least in the worst cases I have read of. There's little that you can do there other than segregating whole cities!
