I just got watching the Germany vs. Portugal a while ago and I was really surprised by the aggressiveness of Portugal at the end. It felt like Portugal was either going to get a goal at any cost or at least make sure some of Germany limps into the next round.

I am so optimistic it hurts.

A buddie of mine lives in Amsterdam and is really feeling the German teams this year. We can be on team speak gaming and hes like "Did you watch the game", and I tell him I don't get many international games on our TV but I guess its okay I get my updates through him. I did miss this one though, how was it?

I'm lucky in that I get a lot of international games because I have the largest package with Dish Network but I did miss that game. My nephew's girlfriend follows this sport closer than I do as she's a big fan and she said it was a great game. She says that Portugal tried very hard but just couldn't pull it off. She also said they held their best effort until the latter part of the game which she says is what kept them from coming out on top.

It was a pretty good game with Germany getting out to a good lead and playing a strong defensive game for that point on. At the last few minutes Portugal put in a extra goal and like I said got unusually violent.

I am so optimistic it hurts.

It was a pretty good game indeed with the classical German discipline winning the game with a 3-2 score.  The German team just doesn't look like their old selves right now and I'm wondering if they are saving their best for the next rounds.
