| I missed the championship but was glad to hear that Xavi Hernandez was named Central Player of the Tournament. I have always liked Hernandez and felt he was a good player. Happy to hear the League agreed.

I agree. Xavi definitely played a vital role in Spain's success during the Euro 2008. I can see why he was named best player, after he scored the opening goal in the 50th minute in the semi-final against Russia, and then in the final he set up Torres for the winning goal against Germany.

| It couldn't have happened to a better player. Xavi definitely has the skill and deserved the title. He makes the game interesting to watch.
